  1. Day 1

    Kalahari

    300 km · 3½-4 hours

    Out of Windhoek to the red dunes and open grassland of the Kalahari.

  2. Days 2-3

    Sossusvlei

    350 km · 5-6 hours

    Into the Namib: the great red dunes of Sossusvlei and the dead camel thorn trees of Deadvlei, best at sunrise.

  3. Days 4-5

    Swakopmund

    350 km · 5 hours

    Down to the Atlantic coast, with time for the town, the dunes and the sea.

  4. Days 6-7

    Damaraland

    320 km · 5-6 hours

    Mountains and wide valleys, desert-adapted wildlife and the rock engravings of Twyfelfontein.

  5. Days 8-9

    Etosha South

    325 km · 4-5 hours

    Into Etosha National Park, with game drives between the waterholes.

  6. Days 10-11

    Etosha East

    180 km · 3-4 hours

    Across the park to its eastern side, for more days at the waterholes.

  7. Day 12

    Okonjima

    300 km · 4-5 hours

    Leopard tracking at Okonjima.

  8. Day 13

    Windhoek

    210 km · 2½-3 hours

    Back to the capital for a last night.

  9. Day 14

    Departure

    Transfer to the airport and home.
